How to install a FiveM script on ESX, QBCore or Qbox

Short answer: download the script from the Cfx.re Keymaster, put the folder into your server's resources folder, add ensure scriptname to your server.cfg after your framework, ox_lib and oxmysql, and restart the server. The console shows whether the script started and what it detected.

Before you start

Most paid FiveM scripts are delivered through the Cfx.re Keymaster. Sign in with the Cfx.re account you bought with and open Granted Assets. Escrow protected scripts only start on servers whose license key belongs to that same account, so buy with the account your server key is registered to.

Check the requirements on the store page. Goliath scripts need ox_lib, and scripts that store data also need oxmysql. Keep your server artifacts up to date, escrow resources need a recent server build.

Step by step

1. Download. In the Keymaster, download the asset and unzip it. You get one folder, for example goliath_auctionhouse. Do not rename it, escrow resources check their folder name.

2. Copy. Put the folder into resources, or into a sub folder in square brackets such as resources/[goliath].

3. Ensure. Open server.cfg and add ensure goliath_auctionhouse below the lines that start your framework (es_extended, qb-core or qbx_core), your inventory, ox_lib and oxmysql. Order matters: a script that starts before its dependencies cannot find them.

4. Configure. Open config.lua, set the language (Config.Locale = 'en' or 'de') and adjust locations, prices and permissions.

5. Start. Restart the server. Goliath scripts create their database tables on the first start and print the detected framework, inventory and interaction system to the console.

Questions

Do I need a different download for ESX, QBCore or Qbox?

Not for Goliath scripts. There is one download for every framework, the script detects ESX Legacy, QBCore or Qbox on startup. Other vendors sometimes ship separate versions, so check the store page.

Do I have to import an SQL file?

No. Goliath scripts that store data create their tables automatically on the first start. Their sql folder is included in case you prefer to import it yourself. Scripts without a database, like the loading screen, need nothing.

The script does not start and the console says "You lack the required entitlement".

The server license key belongs to a different Cfx.re account than the one that owns the asset. Use a key from the buying account or transfer the asset in the Keymaster.

Where do updates come from?

From the same place: the Keymaster. Download the new version, replace the folder and keep your config. Goliath scripts ship a changelog with every update.
