FiveM treasure hunt script: hidden doors across Los Santos
Short answer: a FiveM treasure hunt script gives every player a hidden target somewhere on the map, unlocks hints over time and pays a reward when the player finds it. Goliath Door Hunt gives each player their own door as a photo, with 59 included locations across Los Santos, weighted rewards and a leaderboard, for ESX Legacy, QBCore and Qbox.
Why a treasure hunt keeps players active
Players explore parts of the map they would never visit, talk about locations with each other and come back every round to climb the leaderboard. It works as an activity for new players and as a reason for regulars to log in.
How Door Hunt works
1. The player talks to the door hunter and opens the menu.
2. They get a photo of their personal door and hints that unlock over time: first the district, then the street, at the end a search area on the map.
3. They find the door and knock for a few seconds. The server checks distance, round time and knock duration.
4. Exactly one reward waits behind every door: items, weapons, money or vehicles, chosen by weights from the config. Then a new round starts.
Built to stay fair
Rewards are rolled on the server. Every door pays out exactly once per round. If the reward does not fit into the inventory, the door stays open and the same reward is handed out on the next knock, so nobody rerolls through a full inventory. Round, timer and finds survive relogs and restarts.
Questions
Can players skip a door they do not like?
Yes, they can buy a new door with cash or bank after a confirmation. After a find this stays locked until the round ends.
Can I add my own doors?
Yes. Door locations, hints and rewards are set in config.lua, together with the timing and order of the hints.
Can players see the chances?
Yes. A rewards tab lists every possible find, sorted by rarity, with the chance in percent.
